The Marans Club was founded in 2018 as a beacon of education, fellowship, and promotion for the breed in its full integrity. We advocate for breeding to the standard, dark eggs, showing, and utility purposes. Today we are one of the fastest-growing non-profit poultry breed clubs in the United States.

The Marans were coined the “perfect farm hen” by the French, and for good reason!

They serve any purpose you could possibly want in a chicken; companionship, beauty, uniqueness, eggs, meat, and good competition at shows. We love this breed and we think you will too!
