WHITE

White Marans were originally developed as a commercial meat bird in France during the 1960’s but they soon fell out of favor to factory-farmed broilers. They are still preferred by gourmet Chefs and are registered on Slow Foods Foundations “ Ark of Taste” Catalog.   The White Marans were accepted to the US Standard in 2014.

White Marans Males are pure, snowy white throughout all their plumage. Leg color is pinkish white. The beak is creamy white.

White Marans Females are pure, snowy white throughout all their plumage. Leg color is pinkish white. The beak is creamy white.
